At the Wiltern, we entered to find a scorching 100 degrees. Some of us, above 45, mistook it for a hot flash. The artist, however, enjoys the heat. We were reminded of this multiple times. To combat the heat, it's advisable to bring a fan and wear a tank top.
She arrived late, supposedly starting at 10:30, but truly beginning at 11. The most disappointing aspect was the absence of songs from Madonna's iconic era. Although she briefly touched upon two classics, it appears she has forsaken the essence of her fame. Her original journey has been completely disregarded.
Towards the conclusion of the performance, she depicted the burning of a city and forests in poor taste. Given the recent fires in Los Angeles that have affected many in our community, it was inappropriate. The producers and Kenny Babyface Edmonds should be condemned for including such distressing visuals during our recovery.
